BLUE SMOOTHIE

This smoothie is full of healthy fireworks: antioxidants, fiber, potassium, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamins, and minerals. BAM! It only takes about 5 minutes to whip up in your blender to experience this super tasty and satisfying blue smoothie.  Perfect for breakfast, a post-workout refuel, or an afternoon pick-me-up, this smoothie is as delicious as it is nutritious. Its vibrant blue color will brighten your day any day, especially on July 4th!

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries plus a few extra for garnish
  • 1 frozen banana, medium size
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, nonfat, plain
  • 1/3 cup nonfat milk or milk of choice
  • 2 Tablespoons tahini Soom is my favorite brand!
  • 1 Tablespoon flaxseeds

Instructions
 

  • Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into two glasses. Sprinkle with a few blueberries and flaxseeds, if desired.
  • Sip and enjoy!
